Golden Opportunities in Gas Infrastructure and Supply in Mexico
Investment in Mexico’s midstream sector is flourishing, with a projected $15bn to be injected into gas pipeline grid development and more than 5,000 km of additional pipelines built by 2018 through 26 tenders awarded by CFE, including strategic cross-border lines with the U.S. US gas exports to Mexico are expected to grow to meet a projected 64% rise in natural gas demand in Mexico, which is being driven by expanding power generation capacity and the conversion of oil-fired power to natural gas. Mexico’s domestic resource development, including the entire midstream structure, is not sufficient to meet this demand, therefore, imports from the US will continue to grow, creating opportunities for considerable investment in pipeline and infrastructure expansion.
Attend US/MEX: Gas and Fuel Infrastructure 2016, October 5 – 7, 2016 in Houston, TX to network with industry players from across the midstream, upstream, energy infrastructure, transportation, finance and government sectors as they assess the energy infrastructure needs, learn about projects; and take advantage of vast infrastructure opportunities in the midstream sector.
Plus, don’t miss the pre-summit workshop: Critical Issues for Mexican Energy Projects, covering social and environmental considerations that must be taken into account when developing projects in Mexico.
