Practical Implications for Renewables, Storage, DERs, Interstate Trading, Electrification, Net Zero Buildings

With the passage of California’s SB100 bill, a gigantic new surge of renewables and supporting infrastructure—worth tens of billions of dollars—will be needed. And the emerging targets of other Western states will further power a clean energy surge. But the road ahead is far from clear, as broad legislative strokes must be converted to detailed implementation plans and policies.

Other big questions affecting the energy landscape across the West will be addressed, including:

  • What will be the agenda of the new officials leading energy policy across the West?
  • Who will be best positioned to take advantage of these new mandates and initiatives?
  • What kinds of investment, both public and private, will be deployed?
  • Will larger region markets emerge, and if so, how?
  • How will greater grid volatility associated with renewables be handled across the region?
  • What technology solutions are needed?
  • Where will additional emissions reductions be found?

Infocast’s WESTERN ENERGY MARKETS SUMMIT will convene state commissioners, grid authorities, utilities, forward-looking energy investors, corporate energy buyers, energy/climate advocates, car companies, and tech innovators to explore how these broad new goals will be converted into actionable plans.
