Connect with leading policymakers and utility executives on the latest industry policies and operational realities that will power the future of transmission.
The 22nd Annual Transmission Summit East will provide the clearest window into the policy, regulatory and changing operational realities facing the industry, and dive into the business strategies that leading executives will pursue to seize development opportunities and ensure reliability.
The transmission industry has seen a soaring need to make myriad investments to both replace aging infrastructure and increase the effectiveness of the grid. At the same time, the accelerating growth of renewable portfolios is opening up new opportunities for major developments across the East. However, large individual line projects have become ever more difficult to complete, while policymakers and regulators are increasingly focused on vulnerabilities, resilience and the integration of storage. So where and when will major investments be made to support offshore wind, solar and other renewables? And how will energy policy decisions drive grid investment?
The Transmission Summit East will focus on “Meeting Transmission Needs in a New Energy Paradigm.” Leading policymakers, utility and independent transmission executives will gather to discuss how policy and regulatory developments will affect transmission development, and review the newest business strategies designed to grow system flexibility to and meet the needs of an increasingly complex demand-side. This is your best opportunity to network with the thought leaders driving the development of new transmission business models and a more flexible grid.
The Executive Briefing, Integrating Renewables, will explore the investments needed to meet the transmission requirements of vast quantities of offshore wind, hydro and solar entering the market.
