ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Duke Energy, Southern Company and Dominion Energy’s commitments to achieve carbon-free generation are a big game changer for renewable energy and will drive a dramatic shift in the Southeast energy landscape. Plus, the passage of the landmark Virginia Clean Economy Act and the growing appetite for regulatory reform in North Carolina and South Carolina are yet another harbinger that the Southeast will see a major build out of renewables.

Yet, there are many questions about how this buildout will take place. What will be the rules of the game? How will utilities incorporate their commitments into their IRPs and what will be their procurement strategies? How will the region integrate all the new renewables? How will renewable developers need to position their projects to meet the upcoming procurement requirements?

The 5th Annual Southeast Renewable Energy Summit is the event where the entire Southeast renewable energy community will gather virtually to get the latest answers to these questions and to hear from the key players involved. It is your best chance to tap into the regulatory landscape, identify the top markets and to stay on top of where the next RFPs are going to come from in advance.

WHY ATTEND?
  • Learn about state commissioners’ perspectives on how to facilitate the growth of renewables in the region
  • Hear how the utilities plan to convert their carbon-free generation commitments into renewable procurement strategies and procurement
  • Tap into G&T, co-op, muni and corporate plans to procure renewables
  • Get updates on the planning for a regional ISO and the opportunities in MISO South
  • Understand how legislation, regulatory policies and utility procurements will open up opportunities in each state
