Midwest Renewable Energy - Presented by Infocast

  • Meet With Leading Policymakers, Utilities, and Off-Takers Driving Midwestern Solar, Wind, and Storage Projects

    Event Rescheduled

Target the wave of solar, wind, and storage transforming the Midwest into the hottest market in the country for renewables.

The Midwest is shaping up to be the main driver toward an estimated 100 GW of solar power capacity expected to hit the U.S. over the next decade as the improving economics of solar and wind erode reliance on fossil fuels. Midwestern states and utilities have joined the race to decarbonize their portfolios. However, obstacles remain. Renewable projects face challenges related to state incentives and the limits of existing transmission and interconnection infrastructure. Only those who fully understand how to navigate these issues will be able to take full advantage of the Midwest’s spectacular renewable and storage development opportunities.

Infocast has organized its 2nd annual Midwest Renewable Energy Summit to lead you through the legislative and regulatory obstacles impacting renewable development while showcasing opportunities across the region’s sustainable energy landscape. Join key Midwestern energy market players for a networking event that will:

  • Address the costs and constraints that transmission infrastructure imposes on the impact of renewables
  • Assess how market dynamics and new regulations will affect energy projects in PJM, MISO, and SPP territories
  • Explore the effects of the improving economics of solar and storage on Midwestern states’ energy portfolios

The Pre-Summit Workshop: Improving Interconnection Processes will provide the latest information on backbone system planning and investments spanning across SPP, MISO, and PJM. Regulators, RTOs, ISOs, transcos, developers, and leading utilities will take a deep dive into best practices, lessons learned, and practical step-by-step methodologies for getting through the interconnection queue.
