July 14 - 15, 2025

The pressures to decarbonize American industry remain intense, driven by competitive business environments and government regulatory pressure, and made more intense by the strong underlying growth of many sectors. As a result, there are large opportunities to be seized by developing decarbonization projects using a range of technologies including carbon capture, green hydrogen, storage, geothermal, nuclear, and alternative fuels.
However, much of this decarbonizing technology is sufficiently expensive (especially if not at sufficient scale) to render decarbonized products uneconomic. Also, the status of many tax credits intended to help projects with affordability is uncertain following the election. And other monetization avenues, like voluntary carbon markets are in flux. All of this makes raising capital and doing deals for these projects a challenge today.
Infocast has specifically designed this remarkable new program, Decarb X, for this exact moment. The event, designed in conjunction with business, financial and policy experts will lay out the status and outlook for the projects and tax credits under the new political regime, will help developers understand where offtakers are less price sensitive about decarbonization, will let investors and capital providers share their perspectives on where they think decarbonization projects will have the most attractive economics and lowest risks, and sketch out a path for the development of these projects over the next decade as technologies and conditions evolve.
