Powering Texas' Clean Energy Future: Insight & Opportunities Keeping the Lone Star State Number One in Energy!

Texas’ energy boom is accelerating as load growth, project development, and interconnection requests surge across the state. Texas has surpassed California in installed solar capacity, while energy storage deployment is rapidly expanding. At the same time, explosive demand from data centers, AI, advanced manufacturing, and a fast-growing population is placing unprecedented pressure on the ERCOT grid.

Grid planners are currently evaluating more than 233 GW of large load interconnection requests, with over 70% coming from data centers. Summer peaks are projected to approach 88 GW by 2026, tightening reserve margins and raising critical questions about how Texas’ energy-only market will maintain reliability while integrating massive new loads.

Meanwhile, implementation of SB 6, RTC+B, and other regulatory changes are reshaping revenue and grid forecasts, interconnection expectations, curtailment requirements, transmission cost allocations, battery operations, and ancillary markets. Federal policy developments, including FEOC guidance, material assistance, and effective control are adding further complexity.

Rising power prices, changing incentive structures, and evolving offtake contract dynamics are also transforming the financing landscape. Merchant battery economics have softened, PPA prices are rising, and developers are adapting to new revenue expectations and calculations as solar and storage continue to proliferate across Texas, while wind asset operations look to maximize output, calculate repower, and eye battery integration.

Infocast’s Texas Clean Energy Summit brings together policymakers, regulators, developers, financiers and investors, asset owners, QSEs, and offtakers to unpack these developments and prepare for what’s ahead in Texas energy.

Join the key players shaping the future of Texas clean energy, gathering developers, financiers, and market participants seeking the insights, connections, and strategies critical to project success.
